Meet Your Teacher, Ms. Mo!

Maureen, better known as Ms. Mo to the children, has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 25 years.  Her eagerness to be a part of a child's growth and development has been wide spread. As she says - "Children are amazing...they're so open to learning and are able to make such huge leaps in their skills and abilities when they feel loved and accepted in an environment that is filled with a cheerful, positive teacher; offering high quality opportunities."

Ms. Mo's teachings create an atmosphere where preschool children can take risks and make discoveries while remaining safe and having fun. Her classes circle the whole child; to include fitness and tumbling, reading, math and science; as well as cooking, technology, music, and dance - reaching all developmental areas.  The classroom is full of vibrant colors, numbers and words, family involvement, action packed events that reflect the children in the class, lots of books and storytelling, and learning options that meet all individual needs and skill levels - where love and attention are limitless.

We welcome you to come join in on the fun!

My Child Care Philosophy

Kennydale Academy's approach to learning provides an environment that is small in group size; focusing in on one on one individual teaching methods that support children in developing skills that are necessary to construct their own knowledge, preparing them for their next school environment and encouraging them to become life-long learners.  Our family style program keeps current with best practices in early childhood. We use "developmentally appropriate practices", which are high standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young children. We provide a rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and supports them in taking risks that lead to new skill development.  There is a balance of active and quiet activities, individual, small and large group activities, child initiated and adult initiated activities, with indoor and outdoor play. The learning centers are designed to allow children to explore, experiment, discover, create, and learn communication skills. Children participate in activities that build community and support respect for diversity. Ms. Mo's education, certifications, experience, and background represent an intentional teacher who has extraordinary abilities in making your child feel loved, accepted, valuable, and successful in and out of the classroom.  She has a degree in Early Childhood Education, with certification in Child Care Management and Business, certification in Children's Nutrition and Fitness and has over 25 years experience in the child care field.  Please feel free to call upon her personal and professional references to learn more about her; to include her educational background, as well as current and past family references.
